The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) is the senior ranking member of the Armed Forces and the principal military adviser to the President of the United States. The Chairman, along with his joint staff, advise the president on matters of supreme consequence in defense of the United States and its allies.

The joint staff had an excellent opportunity to increase the accuracy and speed with which it delivered valuable intelligence to the Chairman, Secretary of Defense, and the President, delivering keen analysis to key decision-makers to execute critical missions in defense of our nation.
